Fort Laramie (Part 1)
Fort Laramie -- one of the main forts protecting the Oregon Trail. Immigramts could restock here, troops were stationed there to protect the trail, and the Pony Express stopped here. Some of the remaining buildings were here in 1860-1861, while others were built later. Still, the remains of the Fort look much like what the Pony Express riders would have seen on their runs.
